>Livestreams for Hubei businesses
CCTV news hostess Ouyang Xiadan joined hands with Hong Kong actor Wong Cho Lam on Sunday to promote Hubei agricultural products during a livestream targeting the province once hardest hit by the novel coronavirus.
The names of Ouyang Xiadan (homophonic to "place an order") and Wong Cho Lam (homophonic to "stop") are combined to form a catchphrase: "No one could stop me from placing an order."
Local foods such as hot dry noodles and crayfish sold out soon after the promotion started.
On April 6, a special show jointly hosted by CCTV news host Zhu Guangquan and livestreaming celebrity Li Jiaqi on Taobao Live featuring 16 products from Hubei attracted 15.45 million visitors and about 660,000 orders, generating a total turnover of nearly 23 million yuan.
>Global shortfall of 5.9M nurses
Nurses play a vital role on the front lines of the novel coronavirus pandemic.
But a shortage of these essential health care workers could pose challenges in countries dealing with a growing number of COVID-19 cases.
WHO's new State of the World's Nursing 2020 report has identified a global shortage of 5.9 million nurses.
Many of those gaps are found in Africa, Southeast Asia, the eastern Mediterranean, and parts of Latin America.
Among regions of the world, the Americas have the highest density of nurses at 83.4 per 10,000 people, followed by Europe with 79.3 nurses per 10,000 people.
In contrast, there are 8.7 nurses per 10,000 people in Africa.
But training more nurses won't solve the problem, said Dr Giorgio Cometto, WHO coordinator on human resources for health policies and standards.
The key is balancing training with the creation of employment opportunities in rural areas where there are known health worker shortages.

In the manufacturing industry, listed tycoons are Guo Taiming, founder of electronics manufacturer Hon Hai group (6th); Cao Dewang, chairman of Fuyao Glass Group (7th); Li Shufu, chairman of automaker Geely Holding Group (8th); and Dong Mingzhu, chairwoman and president of home appliances maker Gree Electric Appliances (10th).
>Probe into sex assault case
The Supreme People's Procuratorate and the Ministry of Public Security said on Monday they have dispatched a joint team to Shandong province to supervise the investigation of a high-profile case in which a former executive is suspected of sexually assaulting his "adopted" teenage daughter.
The case triggered nationwide attention and anger last week after Chinese media reported a man, surnamed Bao, is suspected of sexually assaulting his "adopted" teenage daughter in about 2016 when she was 14 years old.
Bao has been removed from his positions as senior official with two companies.
The woman has been calling police in Shandong since last year, but the case was withdrawn after it was first filed in April 2019.
In October 2019, the police decided to reopen the case after the woman and her lawyer provided new clues.
The investigation is still ongoing and evidence is being collected.
